The Parent Education Resource Centre offers counselling and other psychological services all under one roof.
Registered Clinical Psychologists and Social Workers work one on one with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families who are experiencing various emotional, psychological and/or behavioural difficulties.
In counselling, most therapists help individuals, couples and families with a wide range of issues. Some of the more specialized areas that some of the therapists have experience in include:
- Divorce and separation issues for children and adults
- Eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating
- Depression and anxiety
- Chronic illness/chronic pain
- Pregnancy and post-partum adjustment issues
- Parenting issues
Six week parenting programs, based on STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) are offered regularly throughout the year. One on one parent coaching is also available.
Psychologists and Psychological Associates conduct standardized assessments for children, adolescents and adults for intellectual strengths and weaknesses, attentional and emotional difficulties. These assessments can remain confidential or in regards to students, be shared with school personnel to determine placement in exceptional programs.

Our services are not covered by OHIP, but most are covered by extended health insurance plans.
The Parent Education Resource Centre is housed in the same location as Dr. Joey Dimerman and Assoc. Joey, Sara's husband, is a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist. Dr. Christine Chang is an Associate Chiropractor. Four Registered Massage Therapists (2 male, 2 female) offer massage therapy services six days a week and evenings.
